The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs are reportedly chasing out of contract Penrith forward Kurt Capewell.
Bulldogs coach Trent Barrett left the Panthers last year to take up the head role at Canterbury and is intent on bringing over players he worked with under Ivan Cleary.
Capewell becomes the latest Panther to be targeted by the Bulldogs after they secured the signature of promising playmaker Matt Burton and engaged in talks with centre Brent Naden.
Capewell, 27, made his State of Origin debut last year for Queensland and it is believed the Bulldogs will be able to offer him a more lucrative deal than the Panthers.
