A man has broken into a Melbourne butcher shop, jumped the counter, fired up the grill and cooked himself up a meat feast.
The bizarre robbery happened on April 5 inside the Marshall’s Quality Meats store at a shopping precinct in Langwarrin, after the offender entered the closed shop around 11pm.
But instead of getting in and out, the man spent 90 minutes cooking and smoking a few hundred dollars worth of meat.
Store manager Scott Little said he was shocked when he saw the security cameras the next day.
“He started marinating some meat, chucked some stuff in the smoker. He cooked up some porterhouse, pork cutlets, tried to smoke some beef ribs and put some Kievs in the microwave,” Little told Neil Mitchell on 3AW on Tuesday.
